Grapevine is native to southern Europe and western Asia and is mainly used for the production of wine. Its leaves contain flavonoids, terpenes, organic acids, vitamins – especially high in vitamin A and vitamin K, carbohydrates, lipids, and enzymes. The phenolic compositions of vine leaves include chlorogenic acid, quercetin, quercetin-3-O-glucoside, quercetin-3-O-glucoside-7-O-glucronide, isorhamnetin-3-O-glucoside, and kaempherol-3,7-O-diglycoside.

Grapevine leaves may be beneficial for diarrhea, hemorrhage, arthritis, varicose veins, diabetes, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), fatigue, anemia, heavy menstrual bleeding, uterine bleeding, and aphthous ulcers.
