CBD/CBG oil formulations are produced from various types of extracts, which differ based on the purification step in the production process.
The total THC (THC+0.877xTHCA) content of the oil is 0.2%, but lower THC or non-detectable THC options are also available.
Clients can select their preferred base oil from our stock, which includes organic Hemp seed oil, MCT oil, Refined hemp seed oil, and Extra virgin olive oil. Other base oils can be used upon request.
Our CBD oils comply with the EU cosmetic regulation and UK novel food and cosmetic regulation.
Natural CBD & CBG oils
Natural oil is formulated from winterized raw extracts and base oil.
After the 1st stage of winterization (partial removal of waxes from the extract, using ethanol and low temperatures) of raw extract, most of the waxes are removed. Extract becomes fully liquid and homogeneous. Therefore, the liquid extract is easily mixed with oils which allows us to achieve high CBD/CBG concentrations and maintain the fluidity of the product.
The wax removal process used in Natural oil formulations distinguishes us in quality of product from the majority of the market.
Natural oils contain chlorophyll, they are mildly bitter in taste and dark green in color. The color and taste of the product can vary depending on the potency and batch of extract used.
The product is non-decarboxylated and contains neutral and acid forms of CBD/CBG (i.e. CBD/CBG and CBDA/CBGA).
Natural CBD/CBG oils can be decarboxylated according to the customer request.
Natural CBD/CBG oil is a full-spectrum product.
Purified CBD & CBG oils
Purified oils are formulated from distilled extract and base oil.
The distilled extract is the winterized raw extract purified in several stages of molecular distillation. Prior to the distillation process the winterized raw extract is fully decarboxylated.
Molecular distillation process removes various coextracted impurities from the raw extract (e.g. residual plant lipids, fine waxes and chlorophyll ). After the distillation the extract is re-winterized at extremely low temperature.
Distillate flavor prevails in Purified oil. The choice of base oil also affects the taste of the product. Variations of taste and color are minimal between the batches. The distillate is slightly bitter in taste, red in color and has high concentrations of CBD/CBG.
Purified oils are fully decarboxylated.
The purified oil is a full-spectrum product.
Distillate Broad Spectrum CBD & CBG oils
Distillate Broad-spectrum oils are formulated from broad-spectrum extract, which is a commercial term for a variety of formulated extracts. The production process of distillate broad-spectrum extract involves chromatography, where a distilled extract produced through molecular distillation is used as a raw material. Our chromatography method is centrifugal partition chromatography.
The oils have a very light taste, with the dominant flavor coming from the base oil.
Distillate Broad-spectrum oils contain a wide variety of minor cannabinoids, such as CBG, CBN, CBDV, CBC, and more.
The THC content in the oils is less than 0.01%.
Pure CBD & CBG oils
Pure oils are formulated from CBD/CBG isolate or CBD/CBG crumble and a base oil. Pure oils DO NOT contain detectable levels of THC, with a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.01%.
For markets with regulatory restrictions on trace amounts of THC, we can produce oils that comply with LOD of 0.0005%.
The dominant taste and color of pure oils come from the base oil.
